Welcome to the Division of Organic Farming!
In Austria, with its high company and area percentage organic farming plays a vital role. It is the mission of the Division of Organic Farming to contribute substantially to the advancement of organic farming and nutrition through research and teaching. Doing so, we also take its specific systemic nature into account. Disciplinary as well as interdisciplinary results are evaluated based on their effects for the overall system.
Three working groups operate at the Division of Organic Farming: the working group Soil Fertility & Crop Cultivation Systems, the working group Knowledge Systems & Innovation as well as the working group Transdisciplinary System Research. You can find out more about our research work (topics, projects, publications) under the section Research and Working Groups.
